Jasmine Cogan is a visual artist based in Texas. They have been a recipient of the University of Houston School of Art Funds and the University of Houston’s Media and the Moving Image Award. Their work has been showcased at Sawyer Yards, Alta Arts, the Montgomery Photo Festival, the International Arts Center at Troy University, and in multiple exhibitions at the University of Houston and Austin Community College.

While living in San Francisco, Jasmine discovered their deep admiration for fashion. This began their pursuit in fashion editorial and commercial photography, which they maintain as their main focus. They aim to showcase inclusivity in a fluid and delicate manner in their work.

Jasmine also holds a passion for traveling, which can be seen through their travel photography, and printmaking. They have explored the idea of creating surrealistic worlds based in reality with their series Memoirs of Home, which intertwines analog photography and lithography. Jasmine is continuing to explore interdisciplinary methods in their work to bring awareness of the pressing environmental issues we face today. 

Jasmine received their Associate of Applied Science in Editorial and Photojournalism Photography at Austin Community College and Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography and Digital Media at the University of Houston.
